All for the love of baking and a happy life

I started selling pies with my mom the summer before college started, to help pay for books.  As an active member of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and taking Entrepreneurship and Marketing classes at Grand Valley State University, I was able to start thinking of business plans, putting my dreams in writing and even entered idea pitch competitions to talk about my future bakery that would feature seasonal pies. 

After graduation, I quickly found a job in the Automotive Industry where I enjoyed growth and success, staying there for over a decade. 

During a family vacation one summer, an older brother who tried my tart cherry almond scones said "Oh My Gosh, you HAVE to sell these, they are incredible!"

... That comment got the sparks of owning a bakery flying again.  I began working on scone recipes, giving samples to friends and family members who loved them.

Two years later in 2022, I decided to quit my job and took the plunge to start Little Pastry Shop out of my home.  When you know, you know - Life had come full circle.

Little Pastry Shop is a small batch shop specializing in petite scones that simply melt in your mouth, hopeful to change their reputation one scone at a time.  Little Pastry Shop also bakes fresh daily seasonal pies, cinnamon rolls, and paczki.
